Hola!

I am Mrs. JoAnne (JoJo) Jaramillo.

I grew up here in Albuquerque, NM, AKA Burque. Burque is awesome! The weather is always beautiful, sunsets are amazing, and the 4 seasons are exactly like you’d imagine them to be. The sad thing is that it doesn’t rain enough. But I figure, if that’s the worst thing about any place you could live, that’s not too bad at all.

I was raised Catholic by my wonderful parents, but I became a born-again Christian when I was pregnant with my first son. I am so grateful to God. He is my Hero, my Savior, my Father, my Everything. He has done things for me that most people wouldn’t believe. I thank Him every day for everything, especially the times He said No! But that’s a story for another day.

I got married last November, and we’re still in the honeymoon phase. Of course, it’s not easy or perfect, as with anything, but it’s pretty damn good. He is there for me like no one else has ever been. He loves me despite all my craziness and flaws. In fact, I think he might love me because of my craziness and flaws. Whatever it is, I’m just happy that he does, because at this age, I seriously doubt I’m going to change much.

I’ve changed a lot over the years. I’ve been a good girl, a bad girl, spoiled, selfish, too nice, too mean, and just plain uncaring and cold. For a while, I didn’t care about myself at all, and I went a little wild. It was definitely the low point in my life.

Then, I grew up and realized that was stupid, and that there’s some good in the world. That’s when I decided to find it or create it. So, I started taking better care of myself, respecting myself, and living better. That’s also when I knew it was time to do something that would matter, something that would make a difference somehow.

It took a while to figure out, but it finally came to me. I had worked for others for so long, making next to nothing, yet I was so easily ‘replaceable’. So, I decided to change all that. I decided to make myself the most important person in my world. I think everyone should be the most important person in their own lives, don’t you?

So, I’ve decided to start my own business, A Better Life Home: Healthcare Services Plus, LLC. I’m super excited about this venture, but I know that I’ve got a long road ahead of me. That’s fine with me, right now I feel like I can do absolutely anything. So, this is the best thing I can do for myself and help others along the way.

I also began this blog, The Burque Bitch! I mean, if you can be anything, why not be the best Bitch you can possibly be? I don’t mean it in a derogatory way. I mean it as a Woman who cares too much, loves too hard, dreams big, and wants the best for herself and those she loves.

So, this is me, and this is what I’m doing. I hope you’ll join me on this path to my own better life, and together we’ll see how it goes. Y’all can keep me accountable, so I don’t give up or fail. And I truly hope you’re on a path towards happiness and prosperity, too. If there’s anything I can do to help, let me know. I’ll do whatever I can.
