Good afternoon, Burque. I had to come here today to let y’all know that I am so disappointed in all of us. I can’t keep it to myself any longer. I don’t understand what’s going on with the world today.
Everywhere I look, all I see is people hurting people without hesitation or any sign of guilt or remorse. And worse, I see people sitting by and watching as terrible things happen, but doing absolutely nothing to help. They just make sure to keep recording.
WTF?
It’s time for us to step up. We can’t wait for those in office to do something, they’re too busy lining their own pockets to worry about us.
We have to do more to protect girls like Iryna Zarutska, who was so cruelly stabbed in the neck and left to die on a train. All she wanted to do was go home. Sadly, she made the simple mistake of sitting by the wrong damn person.
It’s the innocent ones, those who have done nothing to deserve such careless acts of cruelty, that we need to protect, NOT IGNORE!
Blaming others is not going to change or fix anything. We are all at fault in one way or another. Each of us have failed, starting from day one when Adam failed to stop Eve from eating the apple because he was curious to see what would happen.
We’ve failed as Parents because we’re too consumed by our own issues that we don’t see the signs of an angry child who will eventually take it too far if they don’t get the help they need. We’ve failed as Teachers because we’re too overworked and underpaid to see or hear the children who are crying for help, begging to be saved from someone they trusted who has hurt or is still hurting them. We’ve failed as Police because we see too many bad guys to know the difference when we come across the good ones. We’ve failed as Attorneys because we have too many cases to argue that we lose some of the worst ones due to one shadow of a doubt. We’ve failed as Judges because we are governed by laws that aren’t modified for different situations, and we’re forced to set the wrong people free due to some technicality or clerical error. We’ve failed as Scientists and Doctors because we’ve been blessed with the knowledge to create healthy programs and medications meant to help us, but we choose to change things for our own greedy and selfish purposes. We’ve failed as a whole because we don’t stand up for others out of fear or our own shame. We all know better, but we still choose to escape our reality any way we can because we’re too selfish & spoiled to accept things as they are, the things that are as they are because of our own bad choices.
Each of us have made choices which, inevitably, led to many problems, such as a variety of mental illnesses, which are fueled by alcohol and drugs, and a complete lack of self-control which led to utter chaos.
God created all of us! He made each of us unique, from different areas of the world, with different backgrounds, different ideas, and different dreams. He loves each of us as His own children. And in each of us He planted a seed of innate knowledge. The knowledge of truth, the knowledge of right from wrong, knowledge that should keep us from hurting each other out of sheer stupidity. This knowledge was given to each of us before we were born. All we had to do was continue learning and teaching others what God taught us.
He also gave each of us free-will, the right to choose what we want to do or not do, how and where we want to live, and how we treat or mistreat others. It’s up to us to make the right choices for ourselves and for our children. But we took it all for granted, used it all up, and selfishly hurt others for our own gain. There is enough to go around, we don’t have to steal or kill to get our share. We just have to live as God wants us too. And I believe there’s still time to make a change.
I believe that we can still be saved. God can save us from ourselves with His unconditional love and unwavering mercy, if we repent and beg His forgiveness. God can help us make changes which will lead to better outcomes.
If you believe, please pray with me. If you don’t believe, I’ll pray for you.
Prayer for a Miracle
Thank You, God, for Your mercy and grace.
I know that with You nothing is impossible.
The world has gone completely awry with anger, jealousy, resentment and hate.
Yet, I have complete faith that You can intervene and make miracles happen.
I am on my knees asking for Your help.
With humility and gratitude in my soul,
I beg You for mercy and guidance.
We don’t deserve You, God, but we need You.
I humbly ask you, Lord, please use Your holy power
to provide the miracles we need to restore the beautiful
world that You created for us.
You God, and only You, can help us now.
We ask these things, in Jesus’ mighty name.
Amen.
