Hola, wonderful people! It’s me again, B.B. I hope y’all are doing well on this peaceful Sunday morning.
I’m here to tell you what a great day I had yesterday. I was at my youngest granddaughter’s birthday party. Any grandparents out there will understand what I’m talking about. It’s wonderful to spend time with our grandchildren. This is especially true for those of us who don’t get to see them as often as we’d like.
When we do, it’s always a blessing! It’s like a day full of extra miracles. Not just the same old everyday kind of miracles. These are days when you sit back to watch and soak it all in. Days when you have a rare and complete feeling of happiness and contentment. Days you know will never happen again.
Yes, you’ll see them again, but not like this day. They’ll be bigger, older, smarter, sassier, and always more beautiful, but they’ll never be like they were today.
I know now that every single moment is fleeting, and you’ll never have it again. It’ll pass by so quickly! If you don’t document it, it’ll be gone forever.
If you have children, be good to them, teach them right from wrong, support them and be there for them no matter what. And if you’re lucky, they’ll give you grandchildren someday. Grandchildren are the most amazing people in the whole world.
The grandparent/grandchild relationship is so unique. It’s the purest form of unconditional love. This kind of love flows perfectly to and from each person. We don’t know why or how, we simply accept it as it is, the strongest, deepest, truest bond ever. It can’t be explained and it can’t be broken.
So, I dedicate this to my grandchildren, Sky Azurre Samora, Adrianna Elise Ulibarri, Mya E Ulibarri, Alejandro Mariano ____ and Aaliyah Victoria Newman, I love you all very much!
